Nicolai Patchouli Intense前調是強勢得快要把人淹沒的薰衣草，緊接著其中夾雜著微弱的橙子，既有橙子果皮的酸澀，又有橙子果肉的清甜；

進入到中調，薰衣草開始冒出一點甜味來中和它的尖銳鋒利，廣藿特有的草藥苦感緩慢滲出，伴隨著的還有毛糙的木質氣息，以及與shalimar尤為相似的深邃的煙薰香草；
尾調肉桂十分明顯，且貫穿始終的薰衣草仍然昂揚挺立。

前調是天竺葵、薰衣草和橘子；
中調是廣藿香、錫蘭肉桂和玫瑰；
基調是檀香、琥珀和香草。
