PARFUMS DE MARLY

Les Parfums de Marly was founded in 2009 by French perfumer Julien Sprecher and enjoys a high reputation in the global high-end perfume market. Sprecher was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, into a family dedicated to perfume creation.

Sprecher grew up as a fragrance "insider" as his father worked for the Guerlain brand in the Middle East market. "My father traveled the world and worked for the biggest French perfume house, so I was attracted to smells at an early age and knew very early that this was a job tailor-made for me."

Surrounded by all kinds of smells, Sprecher knew how to identify smells when he was a child and could quickly analyze the ingredients. Sprecher also trained at French perfume and cosmetics brands such as Guerlain and Orlane before launching her own brand.

Inspired by the splendor of the 18th century, Sprecher created the perfume brand Parfums de Marly with new energy. "I was born next to the Chateau de Marly (formerly the palace of King Louis XIV of France), and have always been fascinated by the history of castles, especially the French history of the 18th century. So, I naturally connected my two hobbies: perfume and the history of the Chateau de Marly.

What Parfums de Marly is doing is to continue the France of that era, combining the love and contribution of Louis XV of France to perfume, the perfume technology produced by tradition and new technology, and rebuilding the bottle art design of the glorious era of perfume. The inspiration of the perfume comes from the palace of Louis XV, especially his favorite resting place - Château of Marly, which is full of various flowers, fruits and foreign spices. The inspiration of the brand logo comes from Louis XV's favorite sculpture "Chevaux de Marly", which is currently treasured in the Louvre.
